Dear ORP State Central Committee,
Thank you for considering me as your choice to serve our party and our state as the Oregon Republican Party Vice-Chair.
This past Saturday, I returned from the RNC Summer Meeting in Chicago energized and encouraged about our party and the opportunity to make historic change in Oregon. I am ready to hit the ground running. As a former Chairperson for a business networking group, the Summer Meeting provided familiar networking opportunities, such as those between the RNC Strategies and the ORP Leadership teams which helped us to bring a free RNC election training event to Oregon for County Chairs, Volunteers, Republican Women's Groups, Young Republicans, Slavic Vote, Faith-Based organizations, and Republican friends who are willing to help us elect Republicans and move our Oregon GOP forward.
I’m a natural enthusiast and have invested my energy, ideas, and leadership abilities serving on several boards, including, but not limited to, the Benton County Republican Central Committee, Lincoln Veterans Memorial Coalition, American Legion Auxiliary Unit and District, and as a candidate nominee for the Explanatory Statement Committee through the office of Oregon’s Secretary of State. Few of these opportunities have been more exciting or more important to me than my work with ORP’s Communications team.
I am a team-builder and a team player. Several months ago, our RNC National Committeewoman reached out to me needing help with the ORP Communications Department to meet RNC’s GROW program requirements. Leading a small team of devoted volunteers, we worked around the clock, to fulfil the Communications portion of the GROW requirements for the RNC Chairman’s Circle, garnering the ORP $50,000 – only 1 of 21 states who received this honor.
As your ORP Vice Chair, I will promote the interests of both the Oregon and National Republican Parties, as well as those of our county central committees. I will conscientiously fulfill the duties assigned to me by the Chairman. If the Chairman is temporarily unable to perform the duties of the office, I will assume and perform all duties of the office as long as my services are needed.
__Why am I Running? _____________________________________________________
My goals are to promote the following:
-
Build and brand our party to further increase our community engagement and improve our communication. Bring us up to par, including relevant merchandising with a cohesive brand.
-
Further train and educate our counties and volunteers across Oregon using the latest technology, social media, and online marketing to reach voters and increase voter turnout.
-
Provide practical resources for use in grassroots efforts at the county level. I have led a team to create a PCP Resources page on the ORP website that will be turned into a login portal. Let me know if you need access to these resources.
-
Continue to strengthen and unify the ORP and to expand our grassroots efforts.
-
Help our party and Chairman Hwang raise funds!
-
Fulfill any duties requested of me by Chairman Hwang.
As a former Vice Chair candidate once stated, “we need someone with the time to help with the various tasks that need to be done…and…it takes leadership and, in our case, volunteers with varied skill sets to keep the ORP up and running smoothly.” I have the time, leadership ability, and skills, as well as the enthusiasm and energy to devote to ORP’s success. I believe we need to start by providing our counties with the vision, tools, training, and resources they need to succeed in their counties.
